Aroma: subdued; hint of maltiness with a bit of earthiness. Appearance: on Nitro, this was a joy to behold ... once the cascade of gas stopped, a beautiful, amber color with lasting white head. Flavor: as close to any English bitter I’ve had in England were it not served too cold ... tasty. Malty, hint of apple and pear .... very nice. Nothing overwhelms this beer and you could drink it all night. Palate: medium. Just right. Soft by virtue of the Nitrogen ... only wish it were on cask. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 24, 2007 A very light mixed aroma of malt and hop. Darkish amber color with white head that laces a bit. Smooth and creamy start of decent but not overly strong hop. Some malt does arrive for the finish. Served at a reasonable temperature; close your eyes and you’re in England. Another great Moylan’s product. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 8, 2008 On tap at Stone; very floral aroma with a bit of bread and some caramel. Flavor was fruity, caramelly and flowery. It was ok for the style, but definitely "English" for me. golubj gave it the same score of 3.2, noting the fruity aroma with a bit of nasty malt in the flavor.
