| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 1/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Bottle from Foodery, Philly. Honey orange color with deent head. Citrus, orange, apricot, lychee, and of course grapefruit/pine aroma and taste of pacific northwest hops. Carmel malt. Very sweet. Mildly bitter finish for the style which is Claifornian APA, and certainly not like any Irish, Scottish, or English Pale Ale that I’ve tried. A lot of flavor pakced into 5% ABV. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

22 oz. bomber bottle, no freshness date, a blurb and list of awards along the right side of the label, sampled in an imperial pint glass.
L: Brilliant looking golden amber with a pale beige head of fluffed cream that slowly sank into a sudsy brim. A fair amount of ringed sticking follows the body the glass as I consumed it, making this one of the more attractive APA’s I’ve had in a long while.
S: Bright, fresh smelling hop aromas with a near perfect backing of sweet pale malts. Tropical fruits, nectarines, pine needles and mint leafs that are lightly framed by buttery toast and nutty grains, this has a solidly flavorful West Coast APA nose.
F&T: Softly firm from the carbonation, this APA has a great light and airy feel in the mouth, the right amount of creamy crispness in the finish. The West Coast hops come delectably to the fore in the taste, oily and resiny on the tongue. Hop flavors of grapefruit and oranges, woody, herbal bark, minty evergreen, finishing on a sweet and spicy pineapple note. The properly balanced pale malt backing to the hop tastes, buttery toasted bread with plenty of nutty grains. The balance of tastes in this APA becomes more pronounced as it warms, everything is in it’s rightful place.
I wish I had tried this sooner, I have to admit I have passed over this more than a few times when I’ve seen this on various liquor store shelves, because Tipperary Pale Ale is now my favorite hoppy beer from Moylan’s. One of the better California APA’s I’ve had the pleasure to have tried. I would definitely recommend this to any hophead out there. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA

Smelled of spices and mild hops. Had the taste of citurs and had just a hint of hops. Not a bad brew. phenol (7), USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2008 aroma was ok, the color was expected, the flavor was typical, the feel was average. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 29, 2008 pale caramel pour, nice creamy white head. Mild citrus aroma with a good malty component and an almost vanilla note. Mild pine and citrus flavors with some bread crust oin the finish, another hint of that vanilla from the nose. Medium body with a creamy carbonation. Thi8s should come in tall boy cans. Very refreshing after a long hot bike ride through the city at night.
