Aroma has a lot of fresh citrusy American hops and a lightly sweet pale maltiness. Starts with a nice, light sweetness and good fresh grapefruity hoppy balance. A nice APA. Interesting taste, dry slightly pungent weed/grass malt, very spicy and sharply yeasty. Light, very lively mouthfeel, quick finsih. Different, good. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Rated 5/18/07: Dark orange-copper pour producing a HUGE frothy white head that stuck around and left a thick blanket of lacing...Nice! Mild grapefruit aroma with a hearty dose of malt, lemon and evergreen scents are easily noticed. Mild mouthfeel, nice and malty. Well hopped for an APA countered by the rich malt content. Flavors of citrus and pine kept the flavor right in line with the great aroma. This one seems stuck in limbo between an APA & IPA. There is a lingering bitterness, this one comes across as over-hopped for it’s style although it’s still a great beer.
