Aroma very oxidized hops with some strange vegetal character, rotten. Flavor again very oxidized. Stale hop and cardboard, Huge residuel bitterness, so I guess was quite hoppy at some point. Just harsh, nothing meshes well at all. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 13, 2007 22oz bottle pours cloudy amber with a big offwhite head. Aromas of light citrus some grain and a little caramel. Flavor is grainy with notes of caramel and toffee and light orange. Palate is light fluffy and tended to feel somewhat grainy as well. This is average at best and probably the worst of the Moylan’s brews I’ve tried.. Pailhead (2597), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

I smell gravy, light caramel, and some citrus hops. It pours a hazy orange with a small soapy white head. The flavor starts with caramel and toffee. There are hints of orange in the background. It finishes with a dose of oxidized citrus hops. demitriustown (700), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2006 22 oz bomber: via trade with Holdenn "thanks!". Slightly fruity aroma some definite hop characteristics(no the medium side of hoppiness), somewhat of a wheat scent to this brew. a small aroma of cinnamon, and a light roasted caramel goodness. Poured a cloudy orangish/amber with a absolutely immense fluffy white head that diminished slowly. Taste is medium bodied, with a fruity and medium hoppiness to it. Some caramel and roasted nut notes with a light acidity. palate is mildly bitter on the lips with a minimal caramel overtone that lasts for quite a while. Overall, It’s a good Pale Ale. It’s not the best but pretty good. iowaherkeye (1860), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 5, 2006 22oz bomber, no date. Pours a slightly hazy honey orange with a 4+ finger head--which I believe is making a mound over the height of the glass. Aroma has some earthy and citrusy hops with some dirt and caramel malts. It has a bit of an English bitter aroma to it. I don’t have the patience to wait for the head to die down, so I’ll start by eating it (the head). The closest thing this beer reminds me of in recent memory is Coniston Bluebird Bitter--at least the taste of the head. Mainly because the head tastes a little like eating dirt and straight bitterness. Some citrus does make an appearance.Dry lingering bitter finish. Surprisingly from all that head the carbonation doesn’t suffer too much--it’s moderate but a tad too sharp with a light to medium body. Hopefully all of the Moylan’s I received from IrishBoy will be better than this one I bought. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA

Nose is orange and lemon rind with tangerine. Flavor is sweet malts and more tangerine. Nice balance and a great beer to look at. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Orange/tangerine nose with some underlying sweet malt. Sweetly bitter citrus flavors, more tangerine. Resinous finish. Liked this one quite a bit! nahthan (129), Oakland, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 16, 2006 Tap at Barclay’s in Oakland. Body of a pale ale, hopped more like an American IPA without going overboard. slightly musty hop aroma that reminds me of moonlight’s twist of fate. extremely unique hop flavor, a sharp/floral/vegetal bitterness combination that reminds me of curry leaves. good malt backbone without giving me the impression that the finishing gravity was overly high. nice low alcohol makes it easy to enjoy a few pints. Excellent pale ale. Thanks James.
