I believe this is the Bienville Pale Lager, copied from the Bienville Brewing Company (c. 1906). Poured a dark onionskin color, flat looking. The aroma had sharp malt and a grain husk kind of thing, but lite. Sharp and astringent body. Flavors of sour apple (?) and malt, with a variety of other undesirable flavors. No wonder the Bienville Brew co went out of business.

Definitely has a bit of hops in it, but actually comes across unbalanced with too much bitterness in the finish given the lightness of the malt. Gold with a slight haze.
