amber, whispy head, sweet malt aroma, big sweet malt flavor with a mix of carmel and butterscotch, just a hint of bitterness in the finish that begins to grow

Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 6, 2005 Sort of mashed fruit aroma. Teaish amber in color. Ok this almost has the taste of a Flemish Sour. Very clean distinct finish. Very unusual beer. Ok, I talked to the brewer and he said there shouldn’t be anything sour in the taste. Well there freaking is and rather he intended it or it went bad somehow I actually enjoyed it a lot. It was like a Flemish Sour Light. I guess he won’t be able to reproduce this effect if he never intended it to taste that way in the first place, but it was sour. Not hugely so just mildly so. apost8n8 (123), Oklahoma, USA Apr 2, 2005 Mobile, AL
Ugh... Something is going on at Jim’s cause I was a regular weekly patron but ALL of there beer has developed a nasty tart undertone that overpowers any good taste. I had two pints of the seasonal "weiner" vienna lager and had a hard time finishing them. Very acidic, but not in the good hoppy way, deep red color, no head, and the flavor could stand through strange acidic overtone. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Mar 28, 2005 Very similar to the Red Jacket, but the flavor are all muted. Very smooth and very easy to drink.
