Clear amber w/ small finger of pale tan foam. Mild aroma of herbal hops & caramel. Medium feel. Sweet malty flavour of caramel w/ a lightly bitter hoppiness.

The only thing missing from this one is the rich bitter pale hop flavour. Too bad its a major miss. There is bitterness, but its flat and dry. As with other Mt. Begbie beers, carbonation is a little high as well. Nothing completely disasterous here, just missing components.

A nice pale ale, better than the average swill. Head, aroma, and colour were all about the norm for a pale ale, but taste was slightly better, being somewhat crisp. I’d have it again.

Bottle (650ml) -- courtesy of Mirek. Pours a clear, very bubbly, copper-gold with an average size fizzy white head. Aroma’s quite mild and sweet, a bit fruity and not really any hops present. Mild watery flavour of fruit, grain, very light hops, caramel malt and a hint of diacetyl. Practically no bitterness in the finish. Light to average bodied. This is quite disappointing and a poor attempt at the style, I wouldn’t drink it again and I dumped half the bottle out.

[1046-20080112] 650mL (w/ garthicus, HogTownHarry, jerc, mds, Radek Kliber). Lightly skunky grainy meat aroma. Clear, brown amber body with a quick foamy white head. Grainy fruit yeast flavour. Medium body is a little watery. Not exactly pleasant.

Bottle (660ml). Shared with garthicus, jerc, mabel, Radek Kliber and mds - courtesy of jerc. Clear amber pour with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma - ehh - weird mix of honey, clover and cooked vegetables. The taste followed - sweet light grain malt, less ’off" character, but nothing very good. Light, syrupy, flat mouthfeel, a some stale grass cuts the sweet finish a bit. Ehh - too sweet, don’t like the nose.

Bottle from BC Liquor Store in Kelowna. Orange amber body with a small off white head. Mushroomy lightly yeasty character to the aroma. Sweet grainy flavour, lightly bitter. Bit muddled. Average palate. Disappointing.

Bottle- Jameson whiskey colour, Hop aroma with a grassy, slight toffee aroma. Bitter apple flavour with a weak finish, not my style.
