Nose... light roasted malt and smoke. Palate... light body, nicely smoked, roasty malt and a lengthy smoky finish. I’m not a major fan of rauchbiers (sp?), and the like, but this was pretty nice. stchloe (492), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2008 Dark brown with a tan head that sticks to the side of the glass with very nice lacing. Chocolate, light roast, and some subtle salty smoke. Sweet initially with some chocolate and roasted malts, smoke follows but is nice and subtle. Body is creamy. Notes say good with an exclamation point. Ungstrup (15275), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Draft. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor with a bitter finish from the roasted malt.
