Pours a light amber with some chill haze and a thin head. Has initial flavors of caramel and toast, followed by a good deal of nuttiness. A little wood comes through as well as a nice hoppy finish. I could drink this all day. A very nice amber ale. badgerben (3599), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Received a 12-oz bottle via ABA Beer Swap. Pours a clear reddish brown amber brew with a thick beige head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, roasted caramel malt, and some fruit. Taste is slightly bitter, medium bodied, with flavors of citrus, roasted dark malt, ice tea and some tobacco. Finish is semi-dry, mild bitterness with a lingering ice tea aftertaste. Aroma is mild, floral hops.
Taste is bitter citrus hops, lots of sweet malts. Pretty well balanced as an Amber should be. Bitter dry finish.
Last time I was in Weed it looked to be a time warp from the late 1960s. Also in the heart of the herbal version of it’s namesake. Nice to know someone is clear-headed enough to brew a very nice beer in that town. Good job dudes! kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
