badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jul 4, 2008 Thanks to Skyview! Brown color with a medium head. Grassy hop aroma. Dry malt flavor and a fairly grainy finish. Pretty decent Amber Ale. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 4, 2008 Received a 12-oz bottle via ABA Beer Swap. Pours a clear reddish brown amber brew with a thick beige head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, roasted caramel malt, and some fruit. Taste is slightly bitter, medium bodied, with flavors of citrus, roasted dark malt, ice tea and some tobacco. Finish is semi-dry, mild bitterness with a lingering ice tea aftertaste. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Jun 2, 2008 12oz bottle from my Rep for Mountain Peoples Dist. Good amber color, nice toasted aroma with slightly bitter finish. Much better than I expected. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA May 8, 2008 Pours dark amber with a modest off-white head, good lacings.
Aroma is mild, floral hops.
Taste is bitter citrus hops, lots of sweet malts. Pretty well balanced as an Amber should be. Bitter dry finish.
Last time I was in Weed it looked to be a time warp from the late 1960s. Also in the heart of the herbal version of it’s namesake. Nice to know someone is clear-headed enough to brew a very nice beer in that town. Good job dudes! kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 10/24/2006

bhensonb (4186), Woodland, California, USA May 12, 2007 As Weed Ales Amber (at NorCal Brewers Raley Field Festival). Malty aroma; dark amber color; not much head. Medium mouthfeel; darkish malt flavor. A bit of hop in the finish. Drinks well. jah noth (1015), Rochester, New York, USA Jan 4, 2007 Sweet but not too sweet. Toasted toffee aroma. Smallish white head. Lots of caramel and hops in the flavor. Nice. hayduke (1620), Eureka, California, USA Nov 22, 2006 Updated: Nov 27, 2006I find that as I keep trying new beers I find in local COOP I keep finding obscure winnners. This is one of them Pours dark amber wtih a nice slightly off white head that left good lacing. Nose of malts and hop. Very clean mouthfeel. Good flavors of malts with a nice hoppy finish.
