Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 8, 2006 Slighty hazy dark amber colour. Slight fruity hops overtop of a largely caramel malt base. Flavour is caramel, bland. Just another amber. Sigh. BückDich (4778), McCall, Idaho, USA Mar 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Liberator Brewing, Troutdale Amber color, tan head, nice lacing. Nose of diacetyl & floral hops, fairly malty & buttery though. The flavor is malty with an offset bitter note & some more diacetyl. The finish lingers but creamy & malty. Eh.
bhensonb (4180), Woodland, California, USA May 12, 2007 As Weed Ales Amber (at NorCal Brewers Raley Field Festival). Malty aroma; dark amber color; not much head. Medium mouthfeel; darkish malt flavor. A bit of hop in the finish. Drinks well. Skyview (4000), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 4, 2008 Received a 12-oz bottle via ABA Beer Swap. Pours a clear reddish brown amber brew with a thick beige head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, roasted caramel malt, and some fruit. Taste is slightly bitter, medium bodied, with flavors of citrus, roasted dark malt, ice tea and some tobacco. Finish is semi-dry, mild bitterness with a lingering ice tea aftertaste. badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jul 4, 2008 Thanks to Skyview! Brown color with a medium head. Grassy hop aroma. Dry malt flavor and a fairly grainy finish. Pretty decent Amber Ale. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Mar 5, 2009 Draft. Amber beer with a whitsh head. Light malt aroma. Malt, caramel, and light spice flavor. Medium bodied. Noticeable hops makes gives it a little something. Spice, malt, and light pine lingers. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Oct 30, 2005 From the 12 oz bottle pours a dark murky brown color, a slight bit closer to amber if you really hold it up to the light, but still much darker than most. A small fast fading off-white head sits atop. This was a nice hoppy amber. Malts gave a bit of caramel and honey sweetness up front and were balanced out with a lightly fruity hop finish.
