Aroma is toasty with butterscotch malt and herbal, tea-like hops. Good wood-like flavors that match the hops and small amounts of malt for balancing. Rciesla (3750), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Light caramel malt, with additions of lightly spiced hop resins some pine and floral notes. Light pine etoh warming. The malt character pronounces itself more as the beer warms, i could do with out it but overall its still better than decent. Unibonger (56), Mount Shasta, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a light copper, darkens a slight bit when entirely poured. Little head retention. Little bit hazy. Hoppy and fruity on the nose with a subdued maltiness. Bitter start that lingers, slight sweetness, hops flavor on the tongue lasting for awhile after swallowed. Low carbonation but tons of mouthfeel. Oakes (8108), gone rambling, Cambodia

Sweet flavour..a little bit sticky really. But it closes with a bitter, resiny finish. bhensonb (4345), Woodland, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Bottle: The golden-orange-amber color of this is only evident when held to the light. The held is solid and high. To me, the aroma is extremely, over-the-top biscuity, like fresh-baked cookies. that same odd flavor is in the palate. How do I describe it? ... sweet malt, metallic hop, black tea. Definitely on the musty side. Interestingly on the dark side. (#3390, 4/8/2008) 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Bottle. Pours out a darker than expected, medium amber color. Clear with an off-white head that fades and leaves pretty decent lacing. Aroma is fairly malty, almost bordering on a nutty, roasted aroma. Not much in the way of hop aroma. Medium bodied. Initially sweet, caramelly and light nut flavors fade to a decent bitterness that asserts itself but doesn’t overwhelm. A bit soapy? Decent if not solid IPA. Points on color, a little subtraction for lack of hops in nose.
