Jun 4, 2009 Ever so slight foamy top. Mostly right around the glass edge. Dark dark brown with a touch of red in the body. Very pleasing aroma of what I remember a traditional porter to be. Good flavor. Coffe and chocolate malts. Doesn’t follow the trend of other porters to border on the bitterness of the stout spectrum. Average body. Generally a very nice porter!!

May 30, 2009 12oz bottle. Dark brown color that is a little on the light side for a porter, with a smallish beige head. The aroma is rich and intriguing with some toffee, roasted malt, cinnamon spice, nutmeg, and toasted grain. The flavor is like creamy chocolate milk with a light roasted edge and mild hops. A little bit on the sweet side and not very bitter at all. Really pleasurable overall with a silky medium body. The only thing that would make throwing more than one of these back easier would be a drier finish.

May 10, 2009 12 oz bottle from iowaherkeye! Nose of chocolate covered nuts with a cup of roasty coffee. Clear dark cherry brown with a small beige head. Flavor is coffee with light bitterness and a hint of smoke combined with a light white peppery finish.

May 7, 2009 Aroma is nutty and roasty. Flavor is full bodied, but rounds out. A nice full bodied Porter. Finishes clean like a porter should. Nose is full of roasty, malty notes.

May 2, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep amber-brown with ruby highlights, and a nice moderate headn and lasting lace. Aroma is a bit light- nutty god chooclate, and some light fruits and esters. Flavor is fruity upfront with some raisin and fig, then a bit of toffee caramel and very light nutty chocolate hints with an herbal and green finish. Smooth yet light and slightly bitter finish. Ok.

Apr 29, 2009 I got this in a trade with Flexabull, thanks! Interesting label as well as bottle cap. This was a very solid porter. Black, creamy head, and tasty flavors of roast, a little smoke, some coffee grounds. It was easy to drink but the flavor was actually strong enough that I wouldn’t want more than one in a sitting.

Apr 26, 2009 12oz bottle shared courtesy of weeare138 (thanks!). Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roastiness, chocolate, lightly and earthy. Tastes of roastiness, chocolate, and lighter coffee.
