| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Ever so slight foamy top. Mostly right around the glass edge. Dark dark brown with a touch of red in the body. Very pleasing aroma of what I remember a traditional porter to be. Good flavor. Coffe and chocolate malts. Doesn’t follow the trend of other porters to border on the bitterness of the stout spectrum. Average body. Generally a very nice porter!! SamGamgee (1433), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2009 12oz bottle. Dark brown color that is a little on the light side for a porter, with a smallish beige head. The aroma is rich and intriguing with some toffee, roasted malt, cinnamon spice, nutmeg, and toasted grain. The flavor is like creamy chocolate milk with a light roasted edge and mild hops. A little bit on the sweet side and not very bitter at all. Really pleasurable overall with a silky medium body. The only thing that would make throwing more than one of these back easier would be a drier finish.
