Pours a deep amber-brown with ruby highlights, and a nice moderate headn and lasting lace. Aroma is a bit light- nutty god chooclate, and some light fruits and esters. Flavor is fruity upfront with some raisin and fig, then a bit of toffee caramel and very light nutty chocolate hints with an herbal and green finish. Smooth yet light and slightly bitter finish. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2009 I got this in a trade with Flexabull, thanks! Interesting label as well as bottle cap. This was a very solid porter. Black, creamy head, and tasty flavors of roast, a little smoke, some coffee grounds. It was easy to drink but the flavor was actually strong enough that I wouldn’t want more than one in a sitting.
