Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA May 2, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep amber-brown with ruby highlights, and a nice moderate headn and lasting lace. Aroma is a bit light- nutty god chooclate, and some light fruits and esters. Flavor is fruity upfront with some raisin and fig, then a bit of toffee caramel and very light nutty chocolate hints with an herbal and green finish. Smooth yet light and slightly bitter finish. Ok. arrogantb (695), Denver, Colorado, USA Apr 29, 2009 I got this in a trade with Flexabull, thanks! Interesting label as well as bottle cap. This was a very solid porter. Black, creamy head, and tasty flavors of roast, a little smoke, some coffee grounds. It was easy to drink but the flavor was actually strong enough that I wouldn’t want more than one in a sitting.

Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roastiness, chocolate, lightly and earthy. Tastes of roastiness, chocolate, and lighter coffee. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Apr 17, 2009 Six pack from Market of Choice. Pours out a deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roast, caramel, chocolate and a light hint of coffee. Flavor much the same, with a very nice dry finish. Miles better than their Lemurian Lager. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 24, 2009 Tap at Blue Dog. Pours a deep brown with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, chocolate and light roast. Flavor of roasted malt, toffee, nuts, chocolate and light hop bitterness. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Mar 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours a brown body with a tan creamy head. Light coffee roast, hints of caramel and dry mineral body. Hint of chocolate and lactose. Calcium and a dry coffee finish. Decent but i could do without the sour mild taint in the end. illidurit (851), Santa Cruz, California, USA Mar 22, 2009 On tap at The Red in Santa Cruz. Poured into a pint glass. Clear dark brown color with an ecru head. Tons of creamy lacing. Aroma is ashy chocolate and sourish coffee. Flavor is much the same. Sweet with an unappealing tartness. Mouthfeel is thin but creamy due to a nitro-like carbonation. I’m stunned that this has such a high rating here. watson1977 (250), , Pennsylvania, USA Mar 19, 2009 pours a very dark opaque brown with a light mocha head...dissipates quickly but returns with agitation. aroma is roasty and malty with espresso and bitter chocolate and a touch of hoppiness. flavor is hoppier than expected and has faint espresso and bakers chocolate and burnt caramel. nice creamy mouthfeel and a lingering finish that tastes burnt.
