Clear dark brown color with an ecru head. Tons of creamy lacing. Aroma is ashy chocolate and sourish coffee. Flavor is much the same. Sweet with an unappealing tartness. Burnt/Roasty aroma of coffee, toffee, chocolate, and a touch of vanilla... Flavors of burnt coffee but not a huge amount... There is a certain guinness tastes like nothing quality to this beer... I really want to like this, but i feel like im missing something that others got... I get a burnt taste that doesnt really linger then not a whole lot after that... Bottle: Aroma of bitter and burnt coffee, chocolate, sugar, roasting, slight toffee, and some charcoal. Poured dark brown in color with a small, dense, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly bitter and slightly sweet. Tastes of roasted malts, bitter coffee, chocolate, slight tar, light piney hops, slight vanilla, and a hint of toffee. Medium body.
