Roasted toffee aroma with some chocolate. Crimson edges surround a dark pour with a nice, off-white head. Hello! Lots of toffee, chocolate, roasted malts and tasty bitterness envelop you in deliciousness. Lingering sweet and char. Porters don’t get much beter than this!

12oz bottle. Served at 62° in a duvel tulip. No date, I have only had for a month or two and it has spent a lot of time in the beerfridge. The aroma is hitting me alrady and the glass is a foot away on my desk! When I stick my nose into the glass I get HUGE roast and a backing of spicy hops? and tart cherries? There is also a bit of cofee and dark chocolate in the mix. The intial mouthfeel is large. The taste is roasty, spicy, tart, with some burnt notes and alcohol. The finish is long and bitter from the roast and hops. Very enjoyable. Thanks to KenB for this.

12oz bottle via trade with kenb! - Thanks ken! - Pours black with a beautiful creamy mocha head that stays well and leaves lots of lacing on the glass. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, and a bit of coffee. Good coffee and roasted malt flavor dominate but there is some sweet chocolate there too. Thick rich and robust good carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. This is a very good porter!! Fantastic!

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Black color. Light carbonation and heavy bodied. Roasted/burnt coffee nose. Starts with a rich/burnt coffee flavor but some sweetness in background. Burnt coffee finish. Good porter. $1.55 for a 12oz bottle from John’s Market Tigard, Or.

Must be from kenb. This was an incredible Porter. Hugely complex and this might be my faovite Porter now. Massive chocolate, more like eating a piece of Grandma’s homemade chocolate cake. This was thick and rich

Wow, thanks to KenB for this highly rated porter. The pour into my Stone tulip is onyx, with no light showing through my tulip glass and a 2-finger tan head. The aroma is heavy dark roast patent malt, heavy hops, spices, and a lot of figgy fruit; this one is very much like FFF Alpha Klaus in ther coor and aroma departments. The taste is heavy roasty malty, on the sweet side, with a lot of chocolate and coffe hints, and a lot of back door hops and fruit. Very well balanced with a complex palate. I’d love to do a horizontal with this and Alpha Klaus. Wow, this one is outstanding, requires a 2 ounce repour, and shoots its way into my top 10 porters of all time! Yeah, man, get yaself to Weed today!

12 oz bottle courtesy of Kenb. Very dark brown with big old head. Dissipates rather quickly. Nose not incredibly powerful-- a little hops, dark chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, and sweet malts. Flavor is roasted chocolate malts and faint coffee beans, finished with a touch of hops that leaves some bitterness on the palate. Overall a good beer, but leaves me wanting something more. Maybe because this is my first porter since tasting the Duck Rabbit Baltic Porter which kind of blew me away. In any case, thanks Ken!
