MrManning (1458), London, Ontario, Canada May 28, 2008 Bottle- Out of the bottle, it pours a still straw coloured liquid. Nice legging left behind after the swirl as well. The nose is lots of honey and melons with essences of brandy, followed by a floral aroma. This is quite a bit fuller and more flavourful than the regular mead. White grapes and sweet honey meet up with oak and straw, melons and apple skin. It has an almost brandy like feel to it. Thicker, more syrupy. Quite full and sticky sweet towards the finish, with way more drinkability than the standard mead. Quite good.
