| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2005 Very reminiscent of Guinness, and once you try it, you’ll understand what I mean. I have to agree that the certain "twang" that Guinness provides is absent. This is a pretty good brew, but falls a little short of my expectations. Burner (78), Cape Town, South Africa
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2004 As with beamish this beer stands proud alongside Guinness, it however is not Guinness. It has less flavour and body than guinness, and that wonderful bitter twang that one gets from Guinness is noticably absent. However this beer is still great everyday quaffing. punkeedo (484), San Antonio, Texas, USA

The only thing is, if you drink it cold, the taste is negligible at best. Plus, if you actually get if off of the tap (as I did), then it’s gonna have that cold twinge. Let it warm and let it have more of its effect. I think the beer is very subtle in its flavors almost to the point of boringness. However, it just feels so wonderful in your mouth--you just can’t complain! A good beer, to be sure, regardless of the rather neutral taste. The feel is similar to Guinness. | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Aug 4, 2003 Nitro Keg, Robin Hood, Bexleyheath. Smooth as a baby's bum and as bland as a clean nappy. If the baby had a shit at least this nonsense would have some character. There are dry roasty flavours in the body which develop in the finish, and there is a slight creamy sweetness up front, but that's off set by the pasteurized hops which taste of wet cardboard. Not a good drink.
