| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 24, 2009 300ml bottle. Reddish golden colour, big soapy off-white head, but no lacing. According to the bottle, it should be served chilled at 5-7C°. Aroma of malt and ripe fruit, not unlike a European pilsener. Sweet-and-sour taste, followed by a smoky malt finish and aftertaste. Certainly different from English ales, this one seems more like a European blond beer (only, it’s red) - which is not surprising considering the fact that it is brewed in Amsterdam(!). Not bad, not terribly distinctive either - a solid mainstream effort. Repeat order unlikely.
