Jul 29, 2008 Poured dark brown in color with a smooth head from nitro can. Aroma was faint, of caramel malt, bread and roasts. Palate is smooth, but watery. Flavor featured malt, roasts, some nuts, and bread. I thought I was drinking a sweeter version of Guinness. Overall, not bad, During the blind tasting from which these notes are coming from, I rated this beer over Guinness (no peeking!)

Jul 22, 2008 Draft at Buster’s. Black body with thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet and lightly roasted malts with maybe a hint of chocolate. Flavor is more of the same. Slightly sweeter and not as bitter as Guinness. Creamy mouthfeel and easily drinkable.

Jul 2, 2008 The head is awesome, great palate, an excellently crafted brew, but its conservative. I expect more/am jaded and want more than simple perfection. If MGD was my beer of choice this would be a perfect 5, but alas, its a 3.

Jun 29, 2008 Tap 0,5 l. Pleasing appearance, dark brown/black with a small white head which stays. Burnt aroma. Tastes a lot of coffee and hops, bitter taste and finish. Runs smoothly in the mouth. Quite nice, but not quite as good as a proper Guinness on tap.
