| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 10, 2008 As most people do, find this surprisingly thin. Like an ice cube melted in a Guinness. First few sips, with a lot of head, much more creamy and satisfying. Bitter but not unpleasant coffee flavour. ebrowner88 (113), Rice, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2008 lite sweet coffee smell. Sweeter then a Guinness. Slightly sweet at sip. Nice roasted aftertaste. Not a bad draught for the money. I’d probably spend the extra dollar on a pack of Beamish, but this aint bad. jebert (113), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2008 This stout pours a dark almost opaque red/black. The carbonation is clearly visible with thousands of tiny bubbles cascading upward to form a very creamy, frothy head. Aroma is of milk chocolate, coffee, butterscotch and carmel. Its extremely creamy on the palate. Taste is understated and mild with rifts of coffee, molasses and burnt barley malt. Very dry finish/no bitterness. Despite its thick vescocity, it is not heavy on the stomach. Compliments well a bowl of Irish Stew and a loaf of sourdough bread. My own blind taste testing resulted in a preference for this Cork beverage over its better known competitor brewed near the River Liffey. moelikebeer (220), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Widget. Pour settled to very dark, though clear, with a thick creamy off-white head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Somewhat bitter coffee flavor, though pretty light. Body much lighter and thinner than I was expecting. Wouldn’t spend my money on this one. oreogobbler (217), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Pours a beautiful black color, thick creamy head that doesn’t fade. The appearance is so misleading, you’d think it would taste so good, but it does not. Very lacking in aroma, small amount of chocolate and coffee. Creamy coffee flavor, followed by a tiny bit of smoke in the finish. Palate is super thin and watery, unbalanced and not pleasant. Not easily drinkable. Yuck indeed. precodekeith (27), hamilton, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Widget Can. Dark pour with a creamy light tan head that stays for the entire glass. Medium mouthfeel with a dry finish. Roasted malt backbone. As good as any dry stout out there. mmmbeer (752), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Nitro can poured into pint glass- poured solid black, non transparent, thick tan head formed and stay throughout. Aroma of lightly roasted malts and cereal. Hits the mouth with a medium body, roasted malt detectable but very thin for the style, finish is slightly acidic. Not horrifyingly bad, but I expected it to be thicker. KDorgan12 (169), Memphis, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Draft-Memphis. Dark ruby-black pour but semi-transparent. Creamy head and chocolatey aroma. Palate was much softer than most dry stout and finished almost like a porter.
