| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Similar to the Guinness and Beamish draught beers. It does seem to be the most bitter of the three. Same nitro palate. Nothing too exciting. Decent dry stout. sound67 (202), Offenbach, Germany
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2009 440ml can, label looks a bit different from the one pictured here. Pitch black colour, medium creamy off-white head. No carbonation left after opening the can - be careful! Aroma is all smoky roasted malt, but rather faint. Creamy mouth feel, very appealing. Taste is again roasted malt, but also coffee-ish. Mildly bitter finish, a bit less characterful than the cask version. Good stout, much more drinkable than the coal-like Guinness Draught. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 26, 2009 A nice, smooth stout with a bit of a chocolate note. Be careful with the can-form: it will overflow very quickly if you open it warm or after having traveled with it. If you like Guinness, you’ll find this a treat. after4ever (2741), Brier, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 25, 2009 16-oz widget can. Pours a very unappetizing-looking mud puddle brown that steadily turns into an attractive-enough black with a thick, creamy, persistent pale tan mousse. I know the marketing guys worked really hard to make it look like this, but it looks like a crime against the nature of beer. Smells like chalk and cheap fake chocolate. Watery, thinnish, flat body. Chalky, slightly ashy mid-palate with some mild fake chocolate showing. Not a real pleasant beer. Fratto (726), Arlington, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 18, 2009 On tap at the Gingerman in Dallas. Very thick. It’s tasty and smooth. Great beer. arrogantb (701), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2009 On tap for $3. looks great, black, substantial foamy head. The smell is quite average, a bit of malt, boring. The taste reminds me of syrupy molasses and is just as unimpressive. I think I like Guinness better but this was still quite easy to drink..

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 12, 2009 500ml can. Looks and smells a lot more robust than it tastes, a little thin. Midnight black in colour with a thick even layer of creamy dense tan foam. Aromas of roasted malt and burnt chocolate come through with a bitter burnt flavour that is quite smooth.
