Pours a beautiful black color, thick creamy head that doesn’t fade. The appearance is so misleading, you’d think it would taste so good, but it does not. Very lacking in aroma, small amount of chocolate and coffee. Creamy coffee flavor, followed by a tiny bit of smoke in the finish. Palate is super thin and watery, unbalanced and not pleasant. Not easily drinkable. Yuck indeed.

Widget Can. Dark pour with a creamy light tan head that stays for the entire glass. Medium mouthfeel with a dry finish. Roasted malt backbone. As good as any dry stout out there.

Nitro can poured into pint glass- poured solid black, non transparent, thick tan head formed and stay throughout. Aroma of lightly roasted malts and cereal. Hits the mouth with a medium body, roasted malt detectable but very thin for the style, finish is slightly acidic. Not horrifyingly bad, but I expected it to be thicker.

Draft-Memphis. Dark ruby-black pour but semi-transparent. Creamy head and chocolatey aroma. Palate was much softer than most dry stout and finished almost like a porter.

Aroma is very faint but a slight roasted scent can be detected. Beautiful looking brew, its solid black with a super thick head that looks like tan whipped cream. Taste is a big let down, with a very thin body and just a touch of a burnt taste and a bitter bite on the end that gives it a dry after taste. Its lacking in flavor and is way too smooth and light.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Has a very dark brown color with a creamy light tan head. Sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is licorice malt with some chocolate. The taste is very sweet malt with a good finish.
