Reminded me of Guinness at first. Aroma? What aroma? Flavor was roasty and coffee. Mouthfeel was medium and creamy, but thinned out with time. So-so. littlemikecd (9), Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Great, smooth stout with a cream colored head. Almost as good as Guiness, although it has a strange, lingering aftertaste. scooter122983 (17), West Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Dark Brown almost Black body with a thick cream colored head. Just like every can of Dry Stout I’ve seen. Taste is of black coffee with a creamy taste coming from the head. Palate reminds me of dark chocolate with a hint of citrus. Strong smokey aroma like opening a piece of German Dark Chocolate. norsedoc (162), USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Feb. 2006 - Had this on the back-end of an irish stout to irish stout comparison with Beamish. Aroma was weaker on this one, but roasty. The appearance of both were phenomenal...huge fluffy head, immense lacing which leaved a foam at the bottom of the glass...more like a milkshake than a beer. This was much less smooth than the Beamish (more carbonated feeling), which I can’t make up my mind if that makes it better or worse. The flavor was definitely stronger than Beamish, but sort of one dimensional roasty (very little cocoa and no twang of sweetness like the Beamish). Both are enjoyable brews, but the nod goes to Beamish. scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

Taste is predominately coffee with chocolate and a little bit of citrusy flavor. I would favor this over Guinness because for my money it has a little more flavor to it. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 31, 2007 Pours with distinctive widget inspired head. Dark and rich looking. Smells deep roast and an earthy pine forest breeze. The flavor is well balanced with a fresh, fizzy, watery finish. Strong coffee and citrus predominate with a cocoa note. Full, creamy palate. This is one of the greatest from a can.
