Poured a black colour with a big off white whipped cream head which was full lasting. Aroma was light with sweet roasted malts and very milky coffee with some mild bread at the back. Taste was a bit thin, with mild burnt malts minimal traces of coffee and a light hoppy bitter metallic finish. Light bodied very thin and smooth with a short finish. I was a little shocked at previous ratings as I found this one to be quite thin for a stout. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Dark black with a creamy tan head from the nitro. Smell is very mild of dark chocolately malt, but very thin overall. Taste is guinness like, but watered down, and mild. Thin body, especially for a stout, and overal not something I’d ever get again. Not as good as Guinness and I didn’t even love that one. Not offensive, but just bland and boring. rob897 (62), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2007 On the nitro tap. Dark beer with mahogany hints against the light. I love the look of the cascading head from a nitro tap, and the thick, creamy beige head. Grainy malt nose with some caramel sweetness. Caramel sweetness continues in the flavor, with some burnt grains, molassess, ash and coffee. The ashy dryness in the finish ends up with an almost coffee grounds bitterness. Pours a beautiful thick stout with a black body and light brown head. After it settles, because it first pours a cloud and then rises to the top. Smells like a chocolate coffee. It has a very watery mouthfeel to it. It tastes like a nice coffee stout that has a hint of hops blended in. timfoolery (484), California, USA

Smooth drinking brew in the likeness of Guinness with chocolate flavors throughout. Excellent at the pub. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA

Very dark brown. Nitro head about a finger thick, stuck around to the bottom of the glass! Almost no aroma. Creamy nitro texture. Slight sourness goes along with mild roasted malt flavor. Sublte bitterness on finish. Unexpected black coffee bitterness appears on tongue long after beer is gone. Not especially thrilling. Acknud (772), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA
