Pours rich and creamy with a nice tan head. A bit creamier than Guinness, and perhaps a bit thinner. I could drink this beer for hours, especially at the price. A bit cheaper than guinness. If you like an Irish Stout, this is worth a try, especially if you already are a fan of Guinness or Beamish. It’s nice to have some variety once in a while! salzy (14), USA

I’ve seen Murphy’s compared to Guinness You, too, probably make that comparison. It’s bad enough that English stouts are all too creamy. But if I have to have creamy stout, I’ll take Guinness. . | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 20, 2007 Draft in Dublin. Classic dry stout, pours opaque brown with a nice creamy, tan head. Notes of chocolate and roasted nuts. Enjoyable, especially considering the mass production. matt7215 (993), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

_________ENGLISH TEXT HERE________Now I’m eating horse meat. Draught at the Polena bar in Genova (never been before, a rather commercial place but has something curious in bottle); it could be an alternative to the mainstream version of Guinness, but do not expect much more; color is usual, very dark, with brown head, aroma is non-existing, very distant, of coffee and nuts; body is watery as ever, flavor is overtly sweet: fulsome brew which, after two sips, you want to put in the wc. Not right. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Draught - nitro. At "It Ain’t Nothin’ But A Blues Bar" in Soho, London. Well, it looks fine - dark, opaque, decent creamy lasting tan nitro head. Lighter aroma than many stouts, nutty, sweet, hint of sweet chocolate and dry herbal hops. The taste is very light, sweet roast somewhat chocolate malt, sort of dry and very mildly herbal (almost faintly minty), with a very quick finish. Creamy, light body, dry on the palate, almost no linger at all - it went down smooth and quenched my thirst, frankly I’d probably take it over most draught Guinness I’ve ever had - but it didn’t make me forget non-nitro, full-bodied stouts by any means. Aroma is toast, roast and a lightly tart malt forward with subtle chocolate notes. Appearance is a very dark brown with a medium tan head. Flavor is roast malt forward followed by a mixed finely grainy/coffee flavor. There is a sour hop tone with low bittering. Mouthfeel is medium/full bodied with a very dry finish. It’s smooth, with both some creaminess and astringency. Overall, it’s just not an exciting beer and needs more flavor.
