The pour is nice, almost a pure black, dark coffee look with the expected cascading head coming to a solid white bulb. Aroma: almost non-existant. Taste: watery and thin, one dimensional. No thanks, pass the Guiness please. jaghana (106), Strasbourg, France

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Comes out of the tap a deep, opaque warm sable with a fine-bubbled tan head - it looks a lot like a well-poured Guinness. Malty, smoky aroma has a firm hint of coffee and is almost like Guinness though not quite as good. Flavor is smoky and malty with a coffee undertone. Velvety smooth, fizzy texture is redolent of Guinness. A worthy stout. Gypsy19 (646), California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Pours a dark borwn, opaque, with a perfect thick head. Aroma is weak and vague, as expected, but with a little more oomph than most Irish stouts. There’s a little nuttiness and brown sugar in there, if nothing else. Again, flavor is more bold than others of this type; the malts are awake in this instance. Otherwise, pretty mediocre. Creamy/nitro mouthfeel. Boring, but finishable. Overall, fair to good. Hmmm . . . looks and smells an awfull lot like Guinness. I wonder if they gave me the wrong beer. I think I’ll have to rerate this when I have a can of it. eManu (204), Brussels, Belgium

Pours a deep black color with a very deep and dense creamy head. Aroma are roasted malts and coffees. Flavors of roasted malts and coffees with a very bitter and creamy taste. A very smooth and creamy beer. Quite enjoyable.
