Aroma of roasted malt, biscuit and caramel. Similar flavour. Medium bodied with low bitterness. Not a bad dry stout and I’d go this over a Guinness. jeff789 (399), Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Pint Can. Pours a black color with a large, thick, creamy, clingy, tan head that lasts. Taste is of roasted malt, smoke, chocolate and coffee. Similar aroma. Slightly dry and somewhat bitter. Slightly thin, but still enjoyable. Similar to Guinness, but not as thin and has a better head. Overall, a pretty nice beer that is satisfying, enjoyable, filling and worth having occasionally.

So watery throughout, with faint stout characteristics, but mainly nastily carbonated water. I can’t believe I once respected Youngs Double Chocolate and crap like this. To each his own I guess, but if I lived in Ireland, or Wales, or wherever the hell they drink this slop on the regular, I’d pay to have PBR shipped to me. timsilvia32 (447), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2009 A rather black pour with a lasting creamy white head. Smell is some roast malt, wet grass. Taste is also light roast malt, cream and some chocolate. Sticks to the glass. Very nice creamy body, but a bit watery. Fairly dry finish. Slightly more balanced than Guiness. A good drinker. buckeyebeerman (11), Ohio, USA
