To me, this and Guinness are nearly dead even. But this one’s creamier and a little more coffee/chocolate like.

Poured into a Guinness glass at a bar. Dark ruby/garnet color with a thick beige head. Aroma is pretty mellow of a little licorice and chocolate malts. Taste is the same with some hop character, more chocolate/roasted malt. Nice brew

(cm/bk-can, "pub draught")
creamy head, low co2,
bland start but builds in bitterness and charcoal malt as it goes.

Pours out a nice dark brown with creamy head. Nice light malty aroma that is rather toasty with a subtle chocolate character. Body is light a smooth. A strong toasty flavor is apparent followed by a little chocolate flavor. Finishes out quickly but leaves a little dry feeling in the mouth. Overall a little thin, but quite enjoyable.

Nitro can. Poured a classic nitro pour, pitch black body with two fingers of super creamy thick head. Aroma of cream, light freeze dried coffee and chocolate notes and roasted grains. The body is classic nitro, smooth and creamy with a smooth milky finish. Flavors of burnt malts, cream and citrus hops that meld into a spoiled flavor. Perhaps a step up from Guinness but still nothing more then a palate cleanser in between good beers.

Draft into pint glass. The aroma was all roasty and malty. The appearance was dark, very dark with a nice off white creamy head. Certainly a roasty taste as well. I could not taste the bitter or hops, but still a nice pint of stout over lunch.

On nitro tap into a pint glass. Aroma is mostly cream and dark roasted malts. The flavor is some roasted malt, but a lot of smokey and salty flavors as well.

Pint can with the widget. Pours the anticipated lovely cascading creamy beige head, with a bit of lacing, over a clear, reddish black brown body.....nose is light but contains both coffee and chocolate.....taste is of roasted malts, while light, are dominated by coffee and chocolate, mild bitter finish....mouth feel is light, carbonation low. The presentation is spot on. The nose and taste are light as is apparently the Irish variant of Dry Stout.

50cl can. Pours black color with a creamy beige head. Really like the aroma of roasted malt. Very smooth mouthfeel. Malty flavor with some coffee in it. Dry finish, overall a nice stout. A little too watery though.
