Very creamy on the palate, coupled with the roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes, makes me think I’m drinking coffee cake. But not that sweet. Personally I think it has more character & flavor than Guiness. Not a bad brew! larsga (3000), Oslo, Norway
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2008 Biggish brown-beige lasting creamy head. Dark barely translucent red body. Roasty milky caramelly aroma, mild and harmonic. Dry-sweetish roasty caramel taste with milky roasted almonds notes. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry metallic burnt nutty aftertaste. Surprisingly nice. I quite liked it. [0.5l can, MaxiMat, Charlottenberg.] gnoff (3579), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2006 (50 cl can, purchased at one of the COOP supermarket stores) Dark red color, tan creamy head. Light roasted and some chocolate scent. A bit thin body. Roasted taste and aftertaste. Medium bitterness. Nice and drinkable. I find it to be one of the better 3.5% beers around, lacks some hops though. According to the can it seems to be brewed by Spendrups!? 1gandalf (12), mason, Iowa, USA

Sweet and not to hoppy for a stout. beautifull ripple efect from head when pourd. I will definately drink it agen. douglas88 (1685), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2009 500 ml nitro can bought at Dans in SLC. I have no way to verify that this can is the 3.5% version, however it almost certainly is due to the ABV limit on beer sales outside of the State Stores the other version would be illegal. Pours a very beautiful dark color- near black but really more of a deep red- and a massive nitrogen-infused creamy beige head. The aroma is light toasted and nutty malts. The flavor is similar; light toasted malts, easygoing, some nuts and light chocolate. Not bad. Maria (6341), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2009 It is black/brown with a red hue and a creamy, vary lasting head. The aroma is rather weak with notes of roasted malt, licorice and light chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, light licorice and chocolate and the finish is slightly dry and bitter. It is pleasant and uncomplicated, it would be an ideal session beer for me. KnutAlbert (3217), Oslo, Norway

The weird nitro widget does its tricks, making a good looking beer.
Dark ruby, firm head.
A little smokiness - a pleasant surprise. It is thin, yes, but there is a fine mouth feel and a hint of decent flavour.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2006 The first time I had this beer I was in London. It was on tap in the hotel I was in. I think the best comparison is to Guinness. This beer has a weaker palate but still tastes good.
