| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2009 500 ml nitro can bought at Dans in SLC. I have no way to verify that this can is the 3.5% version, however it almost certainly is due to the ABV limit on beer sales outside of the State Stores the other version would be illegal. Pours a very beautiful dark color- near black but really more of a deep red- and a massive nitrogen-infused creamy beige head. The aroma is light toasted and nutty malts. The flavor is similar; light toasted malts, easygoing, some nuts and light chocolate. Not bad. turbothy (722), Bonn, Germany

Pours black with a creamy white head. Sweet aroma, but it is way too thin. Would be better with double the ABV. Must try the original later. Egon (397), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2009 It is black/brown with a red hue and a creamy, vary lasting head. The aroma is rather weak with notes of roasted malt, licorice and light chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, light licorice and chocolate and the finish is slightly dry and bitter. It is pleasant and uncomplicated, it would be an ideal session beer for me. 1gandalf (12), mason, Iowa, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 5, 2009 (Canned) Very dark brown, almost black, with creamy, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with milky chocolate, cocoa, dark bread and hints of ashes or smoke. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, chocolate, coffee and dried fruit. Mainly dry, fairly thin body. Rather low bitterness with some cocoa shining through in the finish. Definitely a decent low abv version. In short: thin stout with dark chocolate, dark bread and a hint of smoke.
