Commercial Description:
Our Pilsner, with its spicy/citrus hop character and sweet biscuitty malt balance, is an intense lager experience. Big on flavour and aroma, enjoy on its own or with your favourite barbequed food.

Tasted 30/02/2009. 330ml bottle courtesy of Highlandlad - cheers. Yeasty bitter pilsner, in a similar vein as Moa Original (though a lot fruitier and slightly sweeter). Lemony hop aroma, subdued hop flavour of sub-tropical fruit, good bitterness, yeast fills out mouth. Distinctive and fresh. Yum!

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Light lemon on the nose. A cleansing palate with citrus orange and toffee malt flavours. Yeasty like the other Murrays brews (which is a little unusual in a pilsner). All up, a good pilsner.

Pours golden yellow with a substantial white coloured head. Aromas of dry grass, grain and a heap of tropical fruit. Palate is perferctly balanced, citrus, passionfruit, lychee and honey make way for dry grain, before spicy hops round out the palate.

Bottle (330ml). Poured golden with a good sized, rocky, off-white head which lasted very well. Massive grassy/fruity hop aroma with strong notes of kiwifruit, passionfruit, sweet biscuity and some zesty citrus notes. Flavour was a good spicy hop bitterness with dry biscuity malts, lemon citrus, kiwifruit, lychee, a touch of honey and a dry/grassy finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry hoppy mouthfeel and a long lasting hoppy finish. Very well balanced, lots of body for the moderate alcohol content.

Clear golden body with mainly lasting head. Lovely hop aroma which is still there in the taste but balanced well with the malt, yes this is a good pilsner and Murrays are building a good reputation for crafting beers.
