Musky aroma with something that almost reminds me of BO. Dusty malt flavor with a boat load of hops. Massive pine. Skyview relayed that there is a lot of Cascade in here, but I’m tasting it as a buried variety. Guerde (710), Welcome, Minnesota, USA

Very nice citrusy aroma of orange and grapefruit. Taste was not as good as the aroma, with bitter hops, slight grain, and not much malt. BDR (2169), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

I don’t care so much for their choice of hop variety, but it is so well done I can overlook this as it is only personal preference. Great hop aroma and lots of bitter hops in the flavor. Very full bodied. Sweet malt base. Cloudy orange. OSLO (829), Minnesota, USA

Taste is kind of weak - watery and thin, but at the same time there is some bitter hoppiness that is not pleasant. Aroma was good, but the taste disappointed. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Available on draught at the Hayward Eatery brewpub in Hayward, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy orange amber brew with an off white head that quickly dissolves to an off-white ring with good lacing. Aroma of mostly sweet grapefruit, some caramel malt and more citrus zest. Taste is light carbonation, medium bodied with a pronounced sweet grapefruit and pine flavor that overpowers any malt flavors. Finish has a sweet grapefruit that leaves behind a lingering mild bitter aftertaste. This brew is more into the IPA character than an American Pale Ale, but with out the high alcohol. Bartender informed me that this pale ale is a different product from their American Pale Ale. If you are doing a sampler flight at the brewpub and this Pale Ale is on the menu, do this one last. This will temporarily short out your taste palate.
