Commercial Description:
By all means relish the flavor sensation and medium body of our Porter. Described by our brewer as a hybrid between a stout and a Brown Ale (English Mild), its complex flavor is from a mixture of dark and roasted malts. It has that warm nut-like flavor and aroma, along with some coffee and roasted malt overtones.

A few pints of this went down, as well as a growler purchased at the pub. Very dark, and lots of rich malts are present. I didnt get much in the form of coffee until it was at room temp. A decent porter for sure

Sampled on draught at the South Shore brewery brewpub in Ashland, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown with a thick tan head that slowly disipates to a film and tan ring. Aroma is hardly present. I could just pick up a light roasted dark malt and some flowery hops. Even at warm room temperature the aroma was almost absent. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a slight metalic texture. Hardly any flavor but a mild metalic brown ale malt. Finish is watery with a slight metalic taste that quickly disappears.

On tap.
Pours a dark red-brown with tightly-packed tan head. Aroma of roast grain with hints of coffee and toffee.Flavor also gives up coffee and a touch of toffee with toasted grain, a judicious dose of rich malt, a hint of raisin and a touch of alcohol. Medium-light body and slightly thin, flat mouthfeel. On the better side of average; would make a decent session beer.
