A good bitterness from cascade hops, this is more of an American pale, with bold taste, a good bitterness, though not very balanced. Reddish with a soapy head. Easy drinking, average mouthfeel. Fresh hop taste to it. Neutral aroma.

Toast, malt, caramel, a bit of almost cheesy hops, and something sweet that I can’t quite put my finger on. Medium bodied, light sweetness and a bit of hops. Long lingering grapefruit bitterness. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I tried this beer on tap on November 13, 2009 at "The Beerbistro" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent copper colour with a 1" foamy tan coloured head. The aroma was very weak and contained some hops and grassy malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was slightly sweet, grainy malt, with a bitter finish. blankboy (3204), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear golden-orange with a small diminishing foamy white head. Mild, slight resiny hop aroma along with caramel malt and grain. Flavour: What th’!? Soap? Another sip and ugh, still soap, along with slightly burnt malt, light hops and grain. Average bodied. Not liking this at all, will have to retry.

Hops are subtle, and light, there are there, but the beer is also dominated by some big grassy notes. Flavor is solid, but pretty basic, but tasty. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2009 Updated: Nov 12, 2009On tap at C’est What - came a clear amber shade with a small short lived white head. Aroma nice enough, mild Cascades upfront with a decent malt sweetness hinted at in the background. Flavour a bit of a letdown - expecting more hop profile, but the whole thing is kind of muddled. Is this really 6.4% ABV? That’s what the beer menu at CW said - it’s hidden well if indeed it is. Kudos to Muskoka for tackling a brew type I love (harvest ales), and I look forward to next year’s interpretation.
