Aroma is bready with some grassy notes. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is bready with some citrus and grass. Finish is lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Leaves the mouth quite clean. Drinks very well. DerWeg (762), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 24, 2009 6 X 355 ml cans. Lawnmower lager that doesn’t disappoint! Very clear light gold with nice lacy ’real looking’ white foam. Smells bready sweet and clean with notes of lemon and hay. Taste a surprisingly symphonic charge of sweet malts and fruit , vanilla, grape, lemon, and gentle bohemian-style hopping that rounds out an edge of dryness over a sweet and clean finish. The feel of the beer is excellent and I suggest drinking it lightly cooled to demonstrate that this very inexpensive lager has no defects and is not in any way metallic. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2009 355 ml can - pours clear light straw gold, with a frothy white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma of cooked malt, some mild hopping, sweet overall. Flavour not bad - for the style it’s quite drinkable, and it’s the perfect beer for cans. An excellent beer, and puts many premium priced micro lagers to shame. I’ll take this with me next time I go camping. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Bottle, courtesy of matt7215 (thanks!). Looks ok - medium yellow, small but thick white head, lots of streaming bubbles. Grainy aroma, maybe some light fruity notes (hops?). Taste - standard stuff but clean: grainy, a weird sort of fruity finish (not really hops though). Medium body for the style. Decent enough, might enjoy it in the summer or something after some work outside, but not really enough else here to come back otherwise. JesseM (669), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2008 6 pack from the LCBO. Consumed in one evening. This beer is yet another great example of how buck-a-beers can actually be pretty damn tasty. Mediocre malt body, bland and standard, no adjuncts, but the hops really shine in this one. Really nice dryness, bitterness, and lemony aspect to the whole experience (all more or less at the same time). Makes a great party beer, or just a great casual sitting around, not-wanting-to-drink-an-Imperial-Stout beer. Giver a try. Ontario’s new slogan should be: "Ontario, land of buck-a-beers, which are actually pretty decent!" Beer Snob (382), Ontario, Canada

Proof that a "craft" brewer can make swill.
A chemical bitterness and a bit of maltiness. Pass.
