berkshire_john (1048), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Jun 24, 2008 330ml bottle from Plonkers, Derby. Straw with a thick loose white head; aroma of sweet wet hay; sweet corn syrup flavour; slightly chewy cardboard finish. . Doesn’t meet my recollection of the best Hellenic tradition!
jrob_21 (841), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 29, 2008 The only beer I had for two weeks while travelling through greece and italy. This goes great after walking around all day on hot ass rocks in archeological sites. Looks like your basic lager but the taste has much more grain and toasted bread than I was expecting. Decent body as well but no hops to speak of. Borresteijn (509), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 26, 2008 I actually liked this lager, but don’t they all taste great on holiday? A malty sweet lager, no bitterness, but very crisp and fresh, grassy. And thin. fata2683 (86), APO, New York, USA Aug 24, 2008 Drank this the whole time I was in Greece. It’s refreshing but like everything else in the Greek beer scene just not special. Yves (423), Beerse, Belgium Aug 24, 2008 Clear yellow coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation. Spicy herby aroma. Full bit sparkling palate. Finish is sweet bitter. iammarc (177), Inverness, Scotland Aug 13, 2008 Bottle(s) on holiday in Hersonissos, Greece Aug 2002. I remember this beer to be the ultimate thirst quencher when water had run it’s course as a quencher. Skunky smell when opened, which I enjoy in beers, and that’s the best thing about it. I doubt I’d have rated it this high if I had drank it on a rainy day in Scotland.
