TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Dec 22, 2007 Pours dark amber with a mostly receding tan head. Aroma of pepper, spice, bubble gum and cherry. Taste is caramel, toffee, bubble gum, spicy phenolics and pineapple. Mouthfeel is full to heavy bodied with lush carbonation. Pastor (509), Maine, USA Dec 20, 2007 Bottle poured dark brown with a tan head that goes quickly to lace aromas of sweet fruit holiday spices and bread .Nice creamy moderately full mouth feel .sweet malts and candies as well as flavors of orange , spices and hops that help calm the sweetness Another wonderful brew from Chouffe Skeegle (476), Maryland, USA Dec 18, 2007 Very very malty and spiced well. Wonderful brown sugar and toffee, and actually there is some roast evident but it is extremely faint. Taste almost like an eisboch but with many more spicey notes. Sour apple dominates the nose, some prune on the swallow. Very nice indeed, and it leaves a beautiful thick lacing of tan all over the glass. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Dec 15, 2007 Updated: Jan 6, 200875 cl bottle. Dark brown color. Beige head. Sweet (almost too much), fruity, caramel, alcohol. Dry finish. Balanced. Not very complex, but one of the best xmas-beers. daniele (1640), Italy Dec 13, 2007 Updated: Dec 7, 2008scura schiuma media color cappuccino sentori fruttati e floreali in bocca morbida tendente al dolce ma non stucchevole aroma di arancio amaro si lascia bere facilmente nonostante i suoi dieci grqadi invecchiata un anno risulta più secca beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Dec 12, 2007 750 ML Bottle-Dark Brown color w/a slight tan head. Sweet spicy aroma. Flavors were that of a classic dark belgian w/traces of molasis, cane sugar, toffee, & dark fruit, but it also had a floral hop presence & traces of yeast & spice. This was a good winter warming beer on a chilly night w/a cigar. Somewhat complex w/a long spicy finish. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Dec 10, 2007 A nice beer to sip on a chilly winter night. Complex spicy flavors expected in a Christmas brew mixed with lots of citrus candy sweetness. Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Dec 9, 2007 On tap at Het Waterhuis aan de Bierkant 07-12-07 Poured very dark brown with a tan head. Quite sweet and intially very heavy tasting brew, I really liked this beer but found that it could be a tad tiring after a while, nice sticky fruits, very warming, and excellent for the winter.
