2006 bottle. Beautiful pour with robust head. Nice spice and fruit scents appear off the nose and merge with yeast and very quiet hop aromas. Nice full bodied taste with a vast array of flavors spanning my spectrum; fruit, cinnamon, coriander, citrus, yesty dusty notes. Had this brew after devouring a thanksgiving day turkey and was left with an enormous and sleepy grin. A very delicious beer. One to retaste and rerate and enjoy every time. especially during this season

2006 bottle. Great sweet aroma, malty with plum, raisin, vanilla, a bit of chocolate, sour apple, and toffee. Light orange peel and some underlying spicyness. A little bit of vapory character. Fruity rich and lightly hopped. Aroma is very comforting. Dark coppery brown clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy watery body with medium carbonation - goes down very easily, with a bit of warming. Starts sweet with bread, deep fruity esters, plum, some vanilla and spice, woody. Orange peel and some bit of spice in there, a bit herbal but very mellow. Candy sugar, marshmallow, toffee, and light toasted grain. A bit of alcohol, slight warming. Finish is sweet but dried enough by the little bit of hops and floral spicyness. Not sickly sweet as many can be, and leaves you with a nice mellow sweet aftertaste. This is a really nice beer to enjoy on a cold Thanksgiving day.

Very tasty. Hazy brown with white head. Stornly spiced body with the usual caramel and yeast.

75cl bottle from Systembolaget. Dark brown body with a tan head that completely dies. Sweet and spicy aroma with caramel, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Flavor is simailar; very sweet with spices dominating. Cinnamon and vanilla. Full and creamy body. Almost too sweet to drink the whole bottle, but good to sip on a glass with dessert.

75 cL bottle at Poechenellekelder. Nice, tall, tan head atop the dark brown beer. Caramelized dark fruits in the aromatics, some spices. Quite sweet, as a light dose of bitterness kicks in with the medium carbonation and touch of rum. Quite tasty and warming, like a Christmas beer ought to be. Got one aging in my cellar, I wonder if it will survive the holidays.

Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul. 2006 Limited edition (75 cl) pours a semi-hazy caramel amber brew with a fast dissolving creamy off-white head that reveals a creamy ring. Aroma of caramel malt, light dark berries, and a touch of holiday spice. Taste is smooth, creamy, medium to full bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of brown sugar, caramel malt and a touch of berries. Finish is a bit high alcohol with a sweet caramel and berry aftertaste.

Poured from a 22oz bomb. Nice dark murky brown with a very thin white head. Aromas of sweetness of caramel malt, berries and slight spice. Smooth on the palate with a little carbonation. Very good sweet malt and yeast. Negligible alcohol. Very nice easy drinking brew.
