Standard yeasty-funky Belgian nose; thyme is evident but subtle. Crisp and bracing. Orangey with mild mulling spice. Sweet malts give it a holiday touch but still drinks like a blond. ElPresidente1984 (173), Maine, USA Apr 15, 2006 75ml bottle from Downeast Beverage co. pours a murky dark brown. aroma is nutty and yeasty with malts, fruit and spiceyness. flavor reminds me of a lighter Gulden Draak. with many of the same attributes as the aroma. unique in that it finnishes with a distinctive yet balanced spiceyness, tyme, basil, coriander and citrus. very nice. the only downfall is that this beer seemed a bit thin, but that may be cause i drank a imperial stout right before. all in all a verry good beer, but a bit to expencive for my budget. about $9.50 for a big bottle. i would rather have a Gulden Draak if im gonna pay that money Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium Apr 11, 2006 Dark brown coloured, with a large off white head.
