Pours a slight hazy brownish amber with an average fluffy off white lacing head. Aroma is spicy, orange, a little metallic, peach pie, nice and fruity. Flavor of spicy yeast, orange, a little roasty malts. Alcohol was non-detect.

75 cL bottle from www.belgianshop.com. Pours mahagony with minute bubbles quickly rising to greet a rocky tan head; creamy lined lacing. Yeast (earthy, cobwebs) and oak, caramel malt aroma, alcohol notes and wheay dough. Sweet candied caramel, maple malt like brown sugar melting on your tongue flavor, medium bitter and acidity, spicy apple hop notes. Medium warm body with a fizzy, spicy dry finish.

Had this at BJ’s Winter Ale Fest. Beer poured a murky dark amber with a small, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting head. The aroma was full and engaging: moderately malty with nots of toasted grain, caramel and molasses; moderately hoppy with notes of apricot and pine / resin; lightly funky with yeast notes damp cellar and mold; and different with moderate miscellneous notes of thyme, candy sugar and raisin. The flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter with a long, moderately bitter finish. The body was full, the texture was velvety, the carbonation was lively and there was a moderate alcohol feel in the ending.

So easy to drink yet so strong. Medium body. Lovely tasty beligan ale. Sweet hoppy aroma, taste is of dark fruits, very leathery, a sticky long finish. Not complex but a very enjoyable ale. Highly recommened, two bottles and you are singing (probably very loud!). Bought at Beer Paradise/Estate Wine in Holstebro, Denmark.

Big 750 cc bottle. Really tasty. Poured red brown and hazy, with a huge tan head that lasted forever. Lots of fruit aroma with a hint of hops. Very smooth. Alcohol very forward. Full bottle would bomb you. Very expensive in my town, about the same as a bottle of quality wine. Not cost effective, but fun to try once. This is really good. Mine was the 2005 limited edition.

A fabolous smelling beer that HAS to be above 5 degrees C, otherwise it has a very powerful taste of alcohol.
