fiulijn (5695), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Mar 18, 2008 Bottle at Svea, Malmö Hazy amber color. The malty aroma is lightly fruity and candied. It has a good body, with a good sweetish caramel flavor, spicy (coriander); but the yeast is not my favorite. Quite strong bitterness.
Jonte (315), Gothenburg, Sweden May 24, 2008 Bottle. Orange color with an off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma with notes of belgian yeast, banana and spices. Sweet and fruity taste with notes of belgian yeast, banana, alcohol, spices, and caramel. Not my kind of beer. Tranquillity (1027), Espoo, Finland May 16, 2008 Bottled. Very hazy orange-red colour, tiny white head. Hoppy toffee aroma. Taste full, high-quality taste but nothing special, unfortunately. Borup (978), Albertslund, Denmark May 14, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour with a nice off-white head. Aroma and flavour of spice, hops, fruit and malt. JensenTaster (1480), Denmark May 5, 2008 (on bottle) I would have had my left arm cut of if it wasen´t a weizen bock....and it wasen´t. Big banana/spelt nose, fat, allmost whiped cream mouth, a spicy taste to a high carbonated mouthfeel. And to end of, a bready and fryity finish, with little or no trace of the 7,5. Yup, if it wasen´t for the belgian yeast, the missing weatmalt and the combination of US and UK hops, it would have been a nice weizen bock... pilsnerrogge (1554), Finspång, Sweden Apr 20, 2008 Bottle: Hazy amber with a big rocky head. Very yeasty aroma; smells almost like a hefe weissen. Thick mouth feel. Sweet and fruity with notes of apricots. Alcohol bitter finish. Not one of Nøgne Ø’s greater moments.
