May 17, 2004 Bottled. Black rich beige head. Very chocolatey with notes of coffee. Soft, gentle, velvetty mouthfeel and notes of "knäckebröd" (dry, hard , crispy, burnt bread). The body is medium to light, but the flavours fill your mouth. Warming, despite a low abv. Roasty, salty, coffee finish. A wonderful beer!!

Sep 16, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Black with and underlying reddish glow. Very small, creamy head. Lightly burned malty aroma. rather light-bodied, almost vaguely watery. Very malty flavours, roasted, slightly burned and perhaps a wee touch of smoke also. I miss some potency and fullness. 160905

Apr 20, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours totally black and with a short lasting chocolate brown head. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Flavour is light acidic to a roasted malt and chocolate flavour. Medium smooth mouthfeel from the oat but goes into an almost watery mouthfeel in the finish. Acidic roasted flavour in the finish with a light chocolate smoothness.
