Chocolaty aroma with some wood. Milk chocolate flavor with restrained bitterness, slight sour note. Medium-high carbonation, light, watery body. Fairly weak stout. Ifyouinsist (6), , Devon, England does not count Sep 30, 2008 Very dark, with a brown head like a mild. No light penetrates. Quite bitter, but reasonably rounded. Definite smokiness. They describe this as ’a gentle beer for those who are scared of dark beers’. It’s actually quite pleasant, full bodied and not too bitter. Worth savouring thoughtfully. austone (629), Turku; Pori, Finland Sep 19, 2008 Black, big coarse mocha head. Smoky nose, little wheat and milk chocolate, strong plastic. Flavor is berries, dark chocolate, glue, roasted coffee. Almost medium bodied, quite light mouthfeel. Unclean, uninspired. Worst from Nøgne.
