Todeon (166), Höllviken, Sweden Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Nice cloudy orange/copper color. Huge creamy and foamy head! Mouthfeel is a bit sticky. Taste is citrus, caramel and some bitter hop notes. gunhaver (610), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle, courtesy Ibrew2or3. Pours an extremely cloudy copper color, with thick creamy white head and sticky lacing. Strong hop presence in the nose, with a strong gritty malt affection. Interesting aromas. Piney hop flavors, smooth chocolate presence, interestingly enough. Caramel, too. Very smooth body, sticky mouthfeel. Good and interesting. fishingnet (800), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a one finger off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma has a good dose of citrus hops with a hint of pine in the finish and notes of nutty, sweet, and caramel malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Very good. blankboy (2562), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep orange-amber with a huge lasting fluffy off-white head. Very nice aroma of resiny piney hops along with citrus fruit, a bit of grain and bready malt. Flavour starts with sweet malt and hops but then the hops totally take over with a biting bitter finish. Piney, citrusy and almost spicy hops in there. Just a touch of alcohol present but mostly well hidden. Medium bodied. A pretty good attempt at a West Coast IPA -- not quite, but still a damn good beer. FirmButtstone (14), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Jul 30, 2008 Cloudy orange color with a nice white head. Lots of head actually, bottle was very active. Great grapefruit aroma and some pine. The hops stand out more as the beer gets warmer. Do not drink this one cold, let it warm up a bit. Overall a great example of a cascade IPA.
