jtpaajan (3), Finland does not count Feb 15, 2008 Fantastic strong hoppy aroma with fruity bitter finish. Extremely thick head - pour carefully!
Absolutely fantastic IPA, by far the best one I’ve personally tasted Bov (4659), Bienne, Switzerland Apr 2, 2005 slightly hazy red-amber colour, giant creamy head, strong hoppy nose (apricot, flowers and toffeys), good malt body, a bit oily, very strong bitterness, very long dry hoppy finish with notes of almonds and apricot - strong character and an astonishing balance; wonderful ! - a big thank you to fiulijn for sharing this one ! larsga (2314), Oslo, Norway Feb 11, 2005 Cloudy orange, medium head. Enormous lovely hop aroma of citrus and flowers. Deep, powerful initial taste, followed by heavy bitterness that lingers. Fantastic! A beer to savour, and IMHO the best Norwegian beer currently available. GreatLibations (1299), Sasquatcho, Arizona, USA Apr 5, 2008 A cold pour pushes a tall, fluffy head to the brim and then just sits there like a watchdog on a wall. As the fluff slowly recedes it leaves behind sticky snail tracks along the goblet wall like deep scratch marks dug out by the same dog that was pryed from his vantage point. A thick fluffy canopy is all that remains, like the dog was rabid for a cat he was after. The color is a dark dirty penny copper color. Mild aromas of dusty hops. Full nectar w/ a big cottony plume for texture. Balance is virtuous here. A MIG welders bead produces a very bright and blinding hopsy citrus rind component that tears into my palate effortlessly while the good doctors malty ointment closes the wounds and eases the pain. Citrus, caramel, leather, all folding into eachother w/ a mild fruity sweetness. The finish is bittered all to hell and back riding the malted pony of goodness. Balance my good man, balance. Bravo! jbuzz (513), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Apr 14, 2008 Beer tasting at Three Cellars Milwaukee. Excellent dry feeling. And still smooth. Enough hops to give flavor with out hitting the taste buds like a punching bag. Very much worth the 8.29 a bottle price.
