Beer_2000 (1179), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 26, 2008 500ml bottle. Hazy, pale golden/orange body with a nice off-white head. Moderate spicy aroma with malt, yeast and some hops. Even if the aroma is relatively moderate it’s actually quite complex. Flavor is refreshing light malty with a light fruity sourness, a sharp and dry bitterness and dominating coriander spiciness. The finish has tones of yeasty fruitiness, banana and a more distinct bitterness. A light, refreshing body makes this a real thirst-quencher with some of the typical Nøgne Ø signature intact even with a non-typical use of hops. A perfect summer beer, or a lawn mover beer if preferred. KnutAlbert (2174), Oslo, Norway Jul 22, 2008 Bottle.
Fine wit, soft and round with wheat malt character. Fine use of coriander, too. Not their most outstanding beer, but a proper summer ale. gunnfryd (2732), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 19, 2008 Bottle. Golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma i citrus, yeast, hop. Flavour is sweet, citrus, hop, yeast, spices, coriander, dry . Nice and easy drinkable beer. tarjei (1154), Bryne, Norway Jul 18, 2008 0,5 l bottle, batch # 361. Brewed 140508, bb 140510. Straw golden color, with only hints of hazyness. The head is white and creamy. Aroma is fruity, with banana and citrus, also spices and hints of hops. Flavor is surprisingly bitter in the start, but after that it´s fruit all the way, with notes of malt, belgian yeast and spices. The hoppy bitterness becomes an included part of this very drinkable blonde. Nice carbonation makes it the perfect beer for sunny days. Nøgne Ø rules! Ole_R (1183), Oslo, Norway Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. A shiny white creamish head resting on a foggy, straw-yellow to golden colored body. Initial aroma of dry and crisp fruits; citrus and unripe apples. Then some pleasant whiffs of belgo-yeast, a touch of mild spices, ending up with some distinct earthy hops. Taste has a dry, light wheaty character with a modest fruitiness and a good amount of sharpish bittering hops. Healthy body. Dry, fruity-bitter, lasting finish. Another well-crafted and exciting beer from Norway’s finest.
