Grovlam (2915), Copenhagen, Denmark May 10, 2008 Draught @ Nørrebro bryghus. Average thick creamy like white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Light cloudy golden color. Aroma of sweet flower, citrus, apricot, peach, sweet grapefruit. Over the palate came bitter notes of pine and some underlying malty sweetness. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Dry bitter floral finis that lingers and almost turns into liquorish at the very end. Quit nice and well brewed I thought.
sunevdj (1347), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 23, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Nice and dry with hoppy aromas. Some pine and grapefruit. Medium bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Very dry hoppy finish. Good. austone (263), Pori, Finland Jul 20, 2008 Draught @ brewpub (07/07). Orangey golden, small white head. Fruity nose, clear passion fruit, similar to Pacific Summer ale, though this one’s a bit smoother. Flavor is much the same, fruits, soft malts, little yeastiness. Hops should be much sharper. Almost medium bodied, average carbonation. Unfortunately I totally missed the 85 IBUs and pine. fonefan (4062), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 3, 2008 Draught @ Ølfestival Aarhus 2008. Light light unclear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate to light heavy hoppy, flowers, grass. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (160508) yngwie (3342), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 2, 2008 On tap at Århus Ølfestival. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Grassy and citrusy hops dominates the aroma, leaving little room for the malts. The flavor is on the hoppy side too, citrusy, with pine and resin and a nice, long bitterness, but with some room for malty sweetness. Quite bitter finish, almost astringens. Easy to drink and quenching. Could easily have several of this one. (080516) Rune (1500), Tromsø, Norway Jun 12, 2008 250ml draught enjoyed in the quiet patio of the brewpub in Copenhagen. Slightly unclear amber-orange body under a film-type head. Aroma of pine and grapefruits. Delicious flavour of sappy fruit cocktail with notes of malts beneath. Dry hop bitterness in a nice and long-lived ending. Full to medium palate. Really something for the hopheads (31.05.2008).
