Nørrebro St. Hans Dubbel

Draught @ Nørrebro Bryghus, Copenhagen. Unclear amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, wheat, moderate sugar - muscovado sugar, moderate clove, notes flowers - rosenwater. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. (Burnt sugar bitter). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (170308)

(Draught at Nörrebro Bryghus, Copenhagen, 28 March 2008) Dark ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with dried fruit, raspberries and flowers. Malty taste with notes of dried fruit, caramel and a balanced, spicy, sweet finish. Fairly low, spicy bitterness. More than medium body. Nice beer.

Deep dark brown colored, medium sized light brown head. Rich spicy aroma with nice chocolate and yeast, rather sweet one. Medium bodied. Flavor is also fine with same yeasty-spicy touch, chocolate also with some lemon present. Mild alcohol in drying aftertaste, still some chocolate and hops here. Fine dubbel.

[Draught @ Nørrebro] Hazy brown with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with light roasted malt, fruit, yeast and chocolate. Sweet fruity flavor with roasted malt, chocolate and caramel notes.

Draught @ Nørrebro small off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Muddy brown color. Roasted malt, caramel, fruit, yeast and brown sugar. Over the palate almost light sweet chocolate and what appears to me as being bacon like notes Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitter notes. Light sweet finish that turns into roasted bitter and malty at the very end.
