Just an all out sweetness, no bitterness, no body, no finish. Just about the only thing that resembles a beer is its colour. I struggled even with my 1/3 pint. madmitch76 (645), , Essex, England

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Cask, with Fin and Traci at The Crown Rivers, Heathrow. My last pint before flying back to the US. Warm copper pour, dense tan bubbles. Pleasant aroma of opening a bag of dried plums. Or prunes as they used to be before marketing people changed all that. Bright and a bit flowery. Flavor is dramatically, alarmingly sweet. Concentrated essence of raisins. The shocking edge to the sweetness softens as the glass progresses, and eventually... I don’t mind it. Very odd, but not without its own little sense of style. The Tiny Tim of beer. Rune (2842), Tromsø, Norway
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Half pint at JWD real ale festival 08. Almost naked, deep mahogany body. Vague smell of dark fruits. Prominent plums throughout. Quaffable, but gets rather too sweet [Capitol in Dundee, 07.11.2008].
